This article on demography and predictions for the future of the USA is really interesting. It implies, though never really states, a lot of pointers to how the future of America will be influenced, for instance in this paragraph:

Retired, but still active, [baby boomers] will revisit the techniques they used in the 1960s when they fought passionately for civil rights and equality for women, Frey maintains, but their cause will have shifted. "There may be some '60s radicalism among the baby boomers, but this time it will be for medical care," he says.

This implies that there will be changes made in the medical care system at that point. Interesting thought, I look forward to seeing just how time treats the predictions in this article.
