I'd just like to point out that all of the "Best RPG of the year" nominees are A) licensed settings, and B) borrowed mechanics. Yes, licensed settings with borrowed mechanics can still make for a good game... but *all* of the nominees being so indicates a certain laziness on the part of GAMA's voting process. I.e., name recognition and brand popularity won out over any actual creativity or playability of the product.
