Mainly for M, but important for everyone.

When eyebeams was here, he mentioned that having our party affiliation on our voter's registration was strange, and potentially dangerous. I blinked, because I'd just never thought about it before. I mean, really, it's just how it goes, we register under a party. But, it is dangerous, and here's why, just for starters:

Employees of a private voter registration company allege that hundreds, perhaps thousands of voters who may think they are registered will be rudely surprised on election day. The company claims hundreds of registration forms were thrown in the trash.

The out-of-state firm has been in Las Vegas for the past few months, registering voters. It employed up to 300 part-time workers and collected hundreds of registrations per day, but former employees of the company say that Voters Outreach of America only wanted Republican registrations.

Good god.

[edit later -- read the last line ... it implicates the Republican Party pretty heavily.]
