once again, I post politics on the night of a debate...

... without much reference to the debate. In fact, I'll just get the obligatory discussion done now. I'm sorry, I'm not really impressed with the cat fighting from either candidate (despite my post about going to the fisticuffs on the last debate, I thought tonight's name calling from both sides was completely unnecessary). But I continue to like Edward's actual stance on issues.

Now for the point of my post...

Judge throws out Louisiana gay marriage ban

District Judge William Morvant said the amendment was flawed as drawn up by the Legislature because it had more than one purpose: banning not only gay marriage but also civil unions.

Well, it's a step at least. Though it appears that if they rewrote it to only ban gay marriage, it'd stand. Sigh.
