So, Friday Night Improvs is this neat tradition of Pittsburgh. Basically, it's kinda like all those Improv shows you might have seen ("Whose Line Is It Anyway?" being one set of Improvs), except that it is all audience participation. This means that audience members do the various Improv "games", and audience members decide on a lot of the stuff the people up on stage get to do. Now, this is not to say there aren't regulars who you start to really get to know if you go often enough, but often new faces emerge each week up front. Is much fun.

This and my mom making me a yummy dinner tonight are what I did instead of working on my paper. I'm ashamed, but not regretful. :)

Right now, the internet is being attacked by what looks to be an MS SQL server worm. The details are still pending, but the traffic is awesome. See http://www.internethealthreport.com/ if you can get to it, right now pretty much all of UUNet is hosed.

I am honestly impressed. I haven't seen an outage like this since 1996! And here I thought I'd get sleep tonight.

Ugh, just napped, woke up crying after a dream about both my dad and grandfather. The Ju/'hoansi (the people I'm doing the paper on) have a thought about how illness is caused by dead relatives missing you too much, and I've been fighting a bladder infection, so I'm finding that a bit ironic.

In other news, smarter people than me are bringing up good points about the war in Iraq. See the discussions at Bryant's journal and Ethan's journal. I especially like Bryant's point about how this war could set a dangerous international precedent concerning us.
