So, uh, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress had a tremendous impact on my ethical structure after I read it at the age of 12. Oddly, read it for a class with a ditz for a teacher who didn't really understand the principles she was trying to teach, but we were smart enough to argue at each other for her. It's that class, and that book, that really instilled my die-hard sense of "Freedom is Risk" that so many of you have heard me utter. That's also the first book I really sat down and discussed philosophically with Dad.
Anyway, eerie that this one turned out so dead on.
