Uh, this pretty much fucks me.

PAT Bus reductions

Specifically:

  1. Elimination of Sunday and holiday bus, rail, Monongahela incline and ACCESS services;
  2. Drastic reductions in Saturday bus, rail, Monongahela incline and ACCESS services;
  3. Weekday peak hour bus, rail, Monongahela incline and ACCESS service reductions;
  4. Elimination of weekday bus, rail, Monongahela incline and ACCESS service after 9:00 p.m.;
  5. Elimination of Saturday bus, rail, Monongahela incline and ACCESS service after 9:00 p.m.;
  6. Elimination of special event shuttle services (Fourth of July, Regatta, Pittsburgh Steelers' and University of Pittsburgh football games, and other special events);
  7. Increase in the base fare to $2 and proportionate increases in pre-paid passes and tickets.

So, what do those of us who don't have a car (or one that's legal to be driven) do? What, are we going to be next ordered to crawl to our destinations?

Wtf?

Port Authority will hold a public hearing on several service reduction and fare increase options on May 21 from noon to 8:00 p.m. in room 408 of the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Downtown Pittsburgh.

The 21st is a Wednesday, but I believe I will try to make it there. Man, this blows.
