oh. my. gawd.

So, remember the testing videos of the MOAB bomb? You know, the bomb that decimates a pretty hefty area? I'd hoped that since we hadn't seen it until this point, it wasn't going to be used.

I was wrong.

Er, didn't we just take Baghdad anyway? I mean, even if the administration is recognizing (like I didn't assume they would) that taking Baghdad isn't taking the country necessarily, that only took three weeks. What's the need for this? Threatening the remaining military? I thought they were surrendering in droves?

And geez, I love this line:

Military officials told CNN at the time of the test the MOAB was conceived mainly as a weapon employed for "psychological operations."

Isn't that pretty much the definition of Terrorism?

Actually, looking up the definition: the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion.

Ok, it hyperlinks terror:

1 : a state of intense fear
2 a : one that inspires fear : SCOURGE b : a frightening aspect c : a cause of anxiety : WORRY d : an appalling person or thing; especially : BRAT
4 : violence (as bombing) committed by groups in order to intimidate a population or government into granting their demands

So, in fact, yes, it is terrorism.
