When truth mimics satiric fiction...

So, I found this in today's CNN:

"Victory in a nuclear conflict will be ours and the red flag of army-first politics will flutter ever more vigorously," a North Korean state radio broadcast said, as reported by South Korea's Yonhap news agency.

"Our victory is certain and the future ever more radiant."

I was making comments about how North Korea seems to be at this point jumping up and down to get our attention, and this Onion article was pointed out to me:

PYONGYANG, NORTH KOREA As the U.S. continues to inch toward war with Iraq, a jealous and frustrated North Korea is wondering what it has to do to attract American military attention.

I would laugh if I weren't crying.

I'm trying to be nice and not completely spam y'all with new posts, so doing these edits. But I do want to point this out:

The scariest piece of news I've found this morning. I mean, this is sending chills down my back.

If this really is true, we are practicing the worst sort of Imperialism in the name of Morality we are not following. And, honestly, despite my obvious anti-war and anti-Bush stances, I really want to believe that Bush is working out of what he believes is good, just that he's misguided horribly. However, this would mean that he's lying to each and every one of us in the worst way possible.

I do believe there will be a war, and I do believe something will happen. I want each and every one of you, regardless of your position on the war itself, to watch the results, and see just who really is placed in power post-Saddam removal. If it is our own diplomats, as the Kurds are implicating, we have been lied to.
